This project was initiated both by my love for design and the necessity to help overcome the challenge for other people trying to pronounce my name, Wojciech Betlej. This is how the “Digital Polish” alias was born.
With the development and establishment of my digital presence and personal brand I wanted to create a launch video featuring the new logo design but also capture my creative process. Frequently the creative process begins with a blank page and it takes time, effort and lots of trial and error to fully develop a clear vision of the end product. This film is a metaphor of this process.
Going through stages of creative development feels like discovering something new. Oftentimes you can’t quite see the end result but you can tell you are on a right path. It keeps you excited and makes you keep going until the picture becomes clearer and more obvious. With every click of a mouse you are starting to discover the right combinations of shapes, textures and lights working together and slowly revealing a big picture of the entire piece. There is nothing more satisfying than creating something you never thought your mind could image until you actually put time and effort in the process.
